Interesting discussions for small advanced classes
« on: September 01, 2013, 05:04:34 PM »
hi, I teach advanced classes and for the past semester and three weeks I have been doing lessons that are very similar to the ones most of us use here.

But I want to do something more mature but not boring, sort of like a discussion. Does anybody have any ideas for a full lesson?

thanks.

Here's some mini-debate style topics that could be used for discussion.

If you have a timer, it could be made more fun by making the students try to make their arguments as succinct as possible

This site has some interesting moral dilemmas you can pose for students. Some of them may require editing!
