This is basically a filler game and is similar to the K-pop Slam series :)

The categories are Theme Tune, Famous People, K-pop Song, Pop/Foreign Song, Famous Quote.

The English they learned/used was "That __(category)__ is familiar" and "I recognise it"

Played basically the same as K-pop slam :)

An attempt at getting students to use the language a bit more I got them to raise their hands and say "We recognise it/him/her" to have a chance to answer. And say "It's familiar because _____" in order to answer

My students always get me to hum the tune - most of the songs in K-pop/Pop have an extra sound file as a FINAL hint when they're stumped for the answer (in the .rar/zipped folder)

thanks for this Jenna, looks good  got a 2-day week coming up at the beginning of June, so prob gonna use this for my classes on the Monday and Tuesday.

How can I get the music to work? Do I need to download everything separately and then instert the files into the PPT myself?

Yeah you'll need to download the files and put them in the same folder (the music and videos are all linked rather than embedded into the ppt.). But you shouldn't have to insert the files again, I'm sure.

I think if all of the files are in the same folder as the ppt. the music and videos should work (make sure to extract the extra music hints and put them in the same folder so that they will also work)

Recognize can be spelled recognise?  I guess dictionary.com says recognise is chiefly British.  Didn't know this.
