Making a Band Profile
« on: April 12, 2011, 12:49:02 PM »
This is a lesson for reasonably low-level students. Just go through the PowerPoint and make them complete the worksheet, with a view to getting students to present their profiles. As incentive I usually allow those who have presented to choose a music video to watch to wrap up the lesson.

Of course, this is a profile of my favorite band, and you may want to change it to reflect your own taste. The video I chose is good because it has the lyrics in large fonts in easily readable chunks.

This lesson worked pretty well for me. I hope you guys find it useful, too.

Definitely a good choice in the band you profiled. You ever listen to any anathema or katatonia? About the lesson, were the students attentive and receptive to your ppt? Did the students enjoy profiling their favorite bands? Thanks for posting this! Blessings.
