Here is a lesson I made for my high school. It was a little advanced for grade 1 but grade 2 did just fine and I did modify it for grade 1 after the first two classes. Mostly I just cut out the paragraph and focused on the questions. This lesson with the paragraph was a tight 50 minutes and it could easily be drawn out over two full lesson with more time for questions and more preparation for the debate. Hope it helps.
