Price is Right

Following on from a food lesson I did.

I used this for 20 / 25 minutes in my first grade classes

Prices are from Gmarket, as of March2015

Adapted this ppt from something I found on waygook originally.

Nice game. The other TPIR games I have seen do not allow the students to choose the question, it just kinda goes through the products, so I was curious about how you played it. Does one team go at a time choosing a question and then both teams bid? Or do you have one team choose the question and then bid on their own and they have to be in a certain range?

I have 20 students in a class.

I put them into groups of 4. They take turns a group selecting the question, but all groups write down their answer.

I check all the answers (usually only 4 or 5 groups) and then the closest price that is less than or equal to the actual price gets the point.

Thank you for sharing this powerpoint, all my classes have really enjoyed it! Even my lowest level classes get competitive and excited when debating how much each item costs :-) I added a slide to your powerpoint that basically explains how teams will be given points. It tied in nicely to a couple of lessons I did about big numbers and shopping :-)

Wow thanks for this awesome game! I think it would work out great for a couple of my hagwon classes. Cheers!
