Since our school is a little behind with the MERS holidays, we are doing Lesson 1 to 6 for the tests in July. Here is a Sudoku game to review - print it on large size paper (e.g. A3) so the students can write clearly.

EDIT: There are two mistakes - which you can use for 'explaining' why two numbers can't appear in the same block, column or row.  Sorry about that.
1.  Column 1, Row 2 says 'Is that Jinu's shoe?' - change it to 'May I go to the bathroom?'
2.  Column 7, Row 1 says 'Do you want some more?' - change it to 'Please, go ahead. Help yourself'

Test review for lessons 1-6.

Book Scavenger Hunt. On one side of the paper, students have to translate the Korean sentence into English. They can do this by looking in their book. They can find the exact sentence there.

On the other side are a list of sentences. Students have to look through their book and find the page number. You can make it a race if you like. You can also let them work with their partners.

We are going to do this for a couple of lessons at the end of this semester. Instructions are on the slides and in the slide notes. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

UNO = normal UNO cards.
Dwala and Hello, Mom! = normal playing cards

Have fun!

I got this idea from the lessons 1-4 review, user chris0206, and the ppt. is from user YourFriendBen, though I've edited it to be appropriate for these chapters. The originals can be found here: http://www.waygook.org/index.php/topic,86232.0.html

Basically it is a review game that is similar to Risk. It's for chapters 1-6. The rules are in the ppt. but essentially...

1. Divide class into groups of 4-6
2. Each student writes their name on a continent.
3. Students in each group play rock scissors, paper, or roll the dice, to determine the order.
4. Player one picks a country that they want to invade. The person's whose country they are invading picks up a question card and asks them the question.
5. Player one answers the question. If they answer it correctly they then roll the dice. The player they are attacking also rolls the dice.
6. If player A has the higher number, than they erase Player B's name from the map and write their own.
7. If Player B has the higher number, nothing happens and it is the next persons turn.
8. The player who manages to write their name on all continents first is the winner!

Note: Even if a player's country is erased, they can still keep playing in an attempt to win back some land.

Hi there,

this is a review game I use for my after-school grade 5 club. So , we are also reviewing some verbs and the word "...well". As that sentence is tricky for them. "I can sing well." etc

And it also reviews lessons 1- 6, not lesson 7. So if you need an activity for review you could do this, sorry it has no lesson 7 feel free to add. But the kids really love this game

Happy Teaching!

Review board game for lessons 1-7, plus an instructions ppt. The game is very simple: Divide students into pairs or groups of 4. Roll the dice, move your marker, do the required action. You win the game by picking up 3 superhero cards. There are 8 possible actions.

Speak - 말하기
Write - 쓰기
Act - 행동으로하기
Draw - 그리기
Read - 읽기
Take a card - 카드를 가지고
Skip a turn - 한번 쉬어 가세요
Put a card back - 카드를 반환하기

The actions are either written on the space, or drawn below the question. There is a key on the board to tell you what action to do.

The board is hand drawn. I made the board, then pasted it into a folder. I've included the blank template in case you'd rather make your own.

Hello
Here are 3 more review activities for lessons 1-6

Puppets (Reading, speaking (and listening))
Using chopstick puppets of the textbook characters to review the textbook dialogs.
Give each pair a script and they practise together.  Then swap script with another pair.
Scripts attached
Character pictures attached

Chants (reading, writing and speaking)
In groups of 3-4 students write (by memory) the words of one of the textbook chants (Which lesson is allocated to them).  Then pass their paper to another group.  Read their chant and add to or correct.  Pass again etc.
Sheets with Lesson number, title and lined paper attached

Textbook scavenger hunt (thanks to another waygook user for the idea)
Students are given a list of sentences that can be found in the textbook.  They have to find the sentence and write down the page number.

All the best

Here's a role-play that uses "Whose (thing) is this?", "Help yourself/Would you like some more?" and "I will..."

You can download it below. Enjoy! :)

Jinu: Whose pizza is this?
Uju: It’s mine. Would you like some?
Jinu: Yes, please. I will eat a lot!
Uju: Help yourself!
Jinu: Thank you! *chew* *chew* *chew* Oh, no!
Uju: It’s kangaroo pizza. Would you like some more?
Jinu: No! I don’t like it!
Uju: I’m sorry. I will help you. Drink this.
Jinu: *glug* *glug* *glug* Oh, no!
Uju: It’s vegetable punch. Would you like some more?
Jinu: No! I will not have more. I will brush my teeth.
Uju: I will give you my toothbrush.

Review quiz for Lessons 1-7

An Angry Birds Space/StarWars game, with original animation template slides created by Cowboy07.
Please read the slide notes, especially on the control slides:
(scoreboard and question selector).
Questions are a collection of my own and others posted in other games, thanks to those who contributed and shared their work.

Only click to show the answer and to start the animation, or to select a prize.
If a mystery egg is clicked, animation sequences start automatically - if you click, it will jump to the end (the reward section).

***Note: It works perfectly on Office 2007; 2010 may create consistency errors, reset the control slides, and/or change fonts.
