Wales cultural lesson
« on: May 11, 2015, 02:14:41 PM »
Hi Waygooks,

Here's a lesson I made about Wales, which is one of the 4 nations of the United Kingdom. All the classes I've taught this lesson to have really enjoyed it! They particularly liked the video which shows them a little bit of Wales, and they find the rugby video very exciting. The powerpoint tells you when to do each page of the handout, and the lesson plan tells you how to adapt this lesson for high level and low level classes. If you have really high level students you can show them some Welsh phrases (included in the lesson plan) if they ask. You can either delete the slide about my hometwon, or change it so that it says 'some typical Welsh towns'.

Happy teaching! :-)

Thanks, Rachel. My after-school students have been bugging me to do a lesson on Welsh culture (where I'm from too) and you've definitely given me some extra ideas. :)
