2 lesson unit on advertising. The second class has a lot of videos, but I generally did not use them all. Most generated a lot of comments and discussion
I used this with second year students - all boys high school (so some selections are geared towards them).
Lesson 1 - Advertising
1. Warm-up game - 6 letter word game (10-15 min game found on waygook)
2. discuss advertising terminology and examples
3. Have students make posters

2. Review advertising terminology from previous lesson
- match the word to definition
- what is the image an example of?
3. View commercials and complete handout for three commercials
- ask each table or individual students what the best / their favourite commercial was and why (I go around and do this 1-1 while students are working)
