Students work in groups to make human statues (tableaux). Statues are based on words, pictures, and bigger ideas.
You can find instructions for initiating this sort of activity in many Cambridge EFL books. One of my favorite Cambridge books featuring this activity is Teaching Large Multilevel Classes.
Honestly, I found this word "tableaux" very perplexing to spell at times (even now) and just got too lazy to google anything about it. Please do feel free to school me on how to use this word properly.
