I never worry about planning for these classes.  My K-teachers do all the planning, whether this is good for me or bad I cannot tell, what I know is this gives me time to prep. for Summer Camp.

I just tell em, we used to do it all the time when I was in high school, For the more advanced classes I've just made some listening/comprehension worksheets so it looks like teaching. For the less advanced classes I play whatever random game I haven't played with them in a while.

Students must be extremely stressful because of the course of the tests. So i dont feel like give normal lessons to them. Instead i'm thinking of playing games with contents that they previously learned already. With no pressure i hope they can enjoy the time and English itself.

My school is a technical high school and a lot of my students don't even write the uni entrance exam!

So it's pretty chill after exams. Last year, my co-Ts insisted on taking over so the kids could watch movies. Pretty sweet I thought!

In my school, the rest of the teachers seem to be showing movies, but I've been told that I should carry on with lessons until the last day.
Which makes sense I suppose seeing as I virually had a week off last week, and I do less hours than the rest of the staff anyway.
So I've compromised and eased off a bit, having a vague lesson plan, but dedicating half the lessons to playing games (related to the topic)

My entire high school turns into one massive movie theater. I thought my friend was joking and then I walked the halls of the school. Almost every single classroom is watching a movie lol. My VP hates it, but he can't really stop it. He's gone right now, so he REALLY can't stop it lol. I still don't like showing movies, but the students would be angry, if I didn't show a movie.

I started off the week by finishing off my "Fiction and Fact" lesson that I had done with a few classes before exams. Now I am doing the fantastic K-Pop Slam bomb game for the rest of the week (and my girls are going NUTS for this), and next Monday/Tuesday. I anticipate having no classes next week since my school holds a singing competition on the last day of the semester, and most of my classes will be practicing non-stop.

I may show dramas next week if I do have some classes - my girls like to watch Korean dramas with me, and even there is no English involved (only subtitles for my benefit), my co-teachers seem to enjoy it and even explain some cultural things and terms that pop up. My school is a commercial high school, so it's pretty relaxed  ;D

I usually spend a lot of time and energy making my own boardgames (like trivial pursuit or something similar). It's a lot of work but the students absolutely love it and it's a great opportunity for students relax and enjoy the lesson.

I asked the students before finals what they wanted to learn.  So, I'm doing that awesome Kpop game and My experience in Korea.  Most of the classes really wanted to know about my experience, so I hope it goes well.

I'm still not sure what I'll be doing.  I've been weaving through Waygook lessons all day, and can't settle on anything.  The random outbursts from students down the hall, bursting with energy now that exams are over, isn't helping me concentrate...  Alas.  Maybe I'll check out the KPOP bomb game several other people have mentioned.  I haven't actually used a bomb game though, so I hope they can understand how to play without too much of an explanation from them.

I made an Apples to Apples game, but then I realized I only have enough cards for 37 full hands, and my biggest class has 42 students...  Maybe I could do game stations, but it might be hard to keep them on task in that case.  Not that I'll be able to keep them on task much anyway after a week and a half of exams!

Just kinda hate to resort to movies.  If I could find something to show them that I could show in a 50-minutes class and still have time to attempt discussion, it might work.  Maybe that's why Simpsons episodes are popular to use, in addition to the pure fun factor...?  It seems that my school isn't really much into showing movies, though I haven't actually asked about it yet.

Oh well, back to the drawing board!

I've decided on having game stations. Each station has a board game which reviews a topic we have done in the last few lessons. Students, guided by my timer, move to the next game after 10 minutes. I think it's a nice way of reviewing in a relaxed environment.

I tried to show some of my classes a movie -- 17Again -- but my co-teachers just weren't having it. The low-level kids were allowed to watch a movie though.

Just put them in groups, sharing a hand! I did this with groups of up to 5 and it worked great. Surely it would take forever to choose a winner from 42 cards anyway.

Yeah, when I checked with a co-teacher about a movie lesson (i.e. really just showing a movie, maybe with a handout) she pretty much veto'ed it, so I scrambled and threw together a game station lesson plan.  Thankfully I had thought to bring several games with me this morning, so we pulled it off.

It was chaotic, and not tons of English, but the kids seemed to enjoy it.  They didn't like the rerun games as much as the couple of new ones I introduced with a PowerPoint before we began.

The games were Uno, Guess Who (pre-made from earlier in the semester, similar to the elaborate, laminated Eat Your Kimchi version), Who Am I? (simple card on the forehead game), and Taboo.  I had Uno in my own game supplies.  The last two games I printed and cut out the cards/supplies previously.  I'll attach the PPT directions, but they're sort of blah since they were thrown together in about 30-45 minutes.  I will be revising these by Monday... :)

Here's the link to Taboo.  You may want to make some modifications before using it:
http://waygook.org/index.php/topic,1015.msg2847.html#msg2847

"Who Am I?" was sort of an idea gathered from here and general web instructions.  The cards I typed up are below.  I tried for a mix of famous people, some Korean, some US, some worldwide, and some fictitious, but with the goal that kids would be able to recognize most of them.

Edit: I vastly simplified Taboo, since they weren't getting the whole teams/referees/timed turns/etc.

Well my co-teacher told me I could show a movie but it had to be a short one (45 min).

I didn't find any that length so I come to my classes with a long game ready and when the students say they want to watch a movie, I tell them that unfortunately it isn't possible.  That always ends with with the co-teachers asking why it is impossible, me explaining the 45 minute rule and then me following that particular co-teacher's request.

In the past 4 days I've shown Toy Story 3 twelve times.  The other classes were canceled.
