Powerpuff Girls Bomb Game
« on: September 07, 2016, 09:39:05 am »
Made using the esl hero sidekick bomb game maker. My girls and boys seem to like powerpuff girls but I made this after i binge watched the original 6 seasons for myself more than them :P The points are randomly selected so the kids can't memorize what letters give what points.

There were two slides where I forgot to move the picture to the background. I re-uploaded a fixed version but if you have the original just move the images to the back and the buttons and text will appear like the other question slides.

If you have powerpoint 2010 or older you'll need to put the slide show in editing mode for some reason or it'll just do nothing. When it has an orange-ish-yellow bar at the top of powerpoint saying something with "(E)" just click the button to start it in edit mode then it should work fine.

Yeah first you make it editable but then you also have to click "allow content" this will let powerpoint run the code for randomising the points

yea after clicking the yellow bar and going into presentation mode it doesnt show any correct answers. Does it fully work on your end and my computer is just being weird?

I've used it 3 times this week and it's worked XD It should show the answers if you click on the question text. The only issue you should have is pressing the "o" if they get it right and you're not in edit mode.

great game, works perfectly for me.

major gripe i have though is that there are a TON of 'negative' slides - slides like steal 200, lose all points, -200, etc.

in fact there might be more of those slides than there are actual point slides.

It will play different every time. It randomly selects a points slide which i liked because my students try to memorize what letters give what points but yeah sometimes that means there are a lot of negative slides.

I agree, the point distribution is way off. I get way too many negative points. It is practically unplayable as it is. I clicked through 10 questions and only got 2 slides that actually rewarded points. And steal and change points slides don't mean much when none of the teams can actually get on the board. I would alter the macro to redistribute the random points myself but it's password protected.

I guess I'll have to go though and manually link the correct answer buttons to the reward slides if I want to use this.

Hey Tommy,

The game maker she used to create this game generates a macro to randomly award the points. I don't think I password protected the out put macro, so you could go in to the back end of the game and change the points array to make it more fair.

Cheers,
Daejeon
