I've been working on an escape room to go with my camp.
Because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on combination locks, I've created PPTs with locks on to (rusnakcreative needs a lot of credit for that as he made it a lot cleaner and easier to edit the lock codes).
Anyway here are the materials I created. You may need a few computers in your room if you want to use the PPTs. Alternatively you could have a different folder for each group on your computer and get them to take in turns if they want to crack the code.
It will require some prep work, but hopefully it will work well.
Let me know if you want to use it and have any questions.

Wow, this looks really cool. Wish I had done this!
Definitely want to try this out at some point. I had a little gander through the files. Is there a play book of some sort? As in, some instructions for the order of events and how it will all go down?

The escape room ideas word file has the order they should go in. If there's anything not clear though just let me know.

This is really amazing! I'm thinking of doing an escape room as well so this will help with me figuring out how to make it work.
Thank you so much!

Thank you. It took me a while to work out how to keep it all in one room. I'm thinking of sort of dressing up as a mysterious character who gives out clues or sets them their next challenge as well. Hopefully won't feel too awkward or weird.

tommyb.goode, this looks really great. I might add it as another activity during camp. Particularly enjoyed the Zelda music at the start.

Thanks! Yeah, I've used music from zelda to set the mood all over my camp activities.
There is also music from zelda mini games used for each round while kids are running around looking for the codes.

Also, you can click the journal if you want a hint so the students can work out what to do by themselves.
Click the computer screen to start the game

hey jimwall5,
Great idea to use for a camp!~
The lock ppts dont seem to be working. Ppt viewer doesn't support macros so nothing works, and when I run it with ppt 2010 I can't click or do anything at all. How do you run the ppts so they work? Thanks
