Hi
Great games.

Can you tell me how you change the letters on the Speed Writing game to make my own sentences.

Also,  is their any reason why there are games 1 to 6 in red and games 1 to 6 in green?
Why not just games 1 to 12?

Thanks

Ok I worked it out just scroll down below  the slide and type in your sentence.

Thanks for the great games.

Much appreciated.

Right - and green/red game modes are for the numbered and unnumbered slides.  Red slides are more difficult because there are no numbers above/beneath the squares.  If you ever try playing it without the numbered squares, you'll know why it's substantially more challenging (you end up counting the squares, thereby losing time).

Cheers.

Thanks for your effort Maximus! These games look amazing. My powerpoint version refuses to cooperate however and "has stopped working" on all of them. Damn. Be great to see these games in actions. Anyone else experiencing this trouble or am I missing something simple?

Yes, I've had that exact problem with one computer.  It wasn't my computer - and I can't help but feel like my co-teacher kept installing some programs which were interfering either with codecs or the PPT itself (the problem kept getting worse).  I asked my co-teacher to either reinstall PPT or reinstall windows, but he wouldn't budge (he kept saying that he would, but that never happened).  I do know that reinstalling codecs did not solve the issue.
Using PPT viewer had no effect either.

The other 14 computers I played these games on had no issues whatsoever and I know that it's not a hardware issue, since my classroom computer is an exact replica of my co-teacher's computer.

They had a tech guy come in to determine the problem - and the tech guy said that it was all because my PPTs were too big.  Unfortunately, I wasn't at that school when he came in.  I do know that the size of PPTs is irrelevant, since none of the other computers have this issue and also because this problem manifested itself even with the smaller programs (speed games).  I find that tech guys in general are just highly overpaid windows re-installers (I've managed to solve a number of problems which they could not in the past in Canada and elsewhere) and I wish this guy was of the same sort - because I'm certain that windows reinstall would have solved the problem (unless my co-teacher immediately starts installing the very programs which have been causing the issue all along).

If the computer in question is yours and not your co-teacher's, I highly suggest either reinstalling PPT (which may or may not solve the issue), or do a clean install of both the windows and PPT.  Or perhaps try windows recovery? (though I find that windows recovery is a mere gimmick which has never solved any problems that I ever had with my computers)

Cheers.

Thanks Maximus for taking the time to reply. Quality. The problem seems to be my and coworkers' laptop computers can't play the videos. Google searches for answers are also in vain thus far. Will try on other computers and get back to you with the results.

If playing videos is the main problem, I suggest installing the lastest K-lite codec pack.

Cheers.

You can also try installing Quicktime for Windows. This fixed it for one of my work computers.

Problem sorted by installing quicktime. Will ask my coworker to do likewise or update the codecs. A big thank you Maximus and Chinguetti!

Added a board game made via ppt - unlike a few other new games, this one is available for download.

Cheers.

Thanks for this, they are great!
One thing, the board game link doesn't seem to work.

Waiting on those last games though, when will they be available?

Thanks again!

Hmm - the board game is included in the demo class PPT, so you can find it there.  It also has a slightly modified zelda game made by another user here.

The most recent games will be uploaded when one of the Korean teachers that lurk here (and there are many) decides to help with the 'space' game translation - I've had no such offers as of yet ;)

Could you please release versions of the new games untranslated as it saves me having to delete the translations as I do not teach in Korea. Thanks

Sorry, amigo.  I'm not sure that I have the non-translated versions still on my HD.  Anyways, it takes minutes to remove the translations - while it took me hours upon hours to make each ppt.

I'm not sure how things will proceed from this point forth - with waygook going the subscription route, I may opt to remove all my stuff altogether.  We'll see.

You can't, fam. We don't have visibility on our own uploads.

95% of my stuff was uploaded only on google drive.  All I'd need to do is to change the share settings on the google drive - or remove it from the google drive.

Those that posted their stuff using the waygook hosting option might be screwed.

Anyways, I'm gonna wait and see if waygook reverses its decision - I think the idea behind the mandatory payment is insane.  Since this is a volunteer-based operation, I think they should have asked people to donate money, rather than force everyone to subscribe - and have PPTs tied to the said subscription.

The admin is very short-sighted, if you ask me.
