The videos for me are super slow and don't play correctly. I updated quicktime just in case and that didn't fix the problem. Would you mind uploading the videos separately?

I usually wouldn't reply just to say this, but seeing as how I just spent 176mb or whatever of phone data to get the file from drive (which my province has blocked at all schools)...

Using Quicktime for video severely limits the number of teachers who can make full use of this presentation (which is well made and it seems like you put a lot of time into it).

I teach using 21 computers a week and won't install QT on every one of them (given that I'm not the primary user). I imagine many teachers will be in the same boat...

Embedding video as .mp4 will allow a lot more teachers to use what you've spent your time on.

From my experience the best way is to embed as a .WMV since .MP4s and PPT are still a little sketchy for older/non updated computers. Installing quicktime solves a LOT of problems with playing videos in PPT (because it helps like a plugin sort of thing) but for some reason PPT LOOOOVES WMVs.

No, many times you need to install quicktime to make the PPT plugin play certain video types correctly. We're caught in the crossfire in the war between Apple and Microsoft.

Eh. I used it for my most recent Kpop/Apop game and didn't notice much of a difference in video or playing quality. But yeah, completely agree with you comparing WMV's to any other video format.

It's not my preference but WMVs is more universal in working on computers that teachers here use which is why I switched to it for making games. (Less troubleshooting for me and they don't have to individually download the videos and embed if the videos don't want to play nice with their version of PPT.)

You don't need to upload the vids again, if anybody needs the original video files, they just need to change the ppt's extension to .zip instead of .pptx. In this scenario, change it from "Super Quiz 2017.pptx" to "Super Quiz 2017.zip" then open the zip file -> ppt -> media. There's all the videos and images, etc. in there. Obviously change the extension of a copy of the original file, as you might screw things up on the original while messing around with its contents in zip form.

I say this because as we all know, waygook's servers have been stressed as of late and uploading video files onto the site will only give it more stress. So let's try to help out any way we can :-)

Also, I hate to ask as the community really does appreciate your contribution, but see if you can delete the uploads from reply #8-#11 as it seems people are still downloading them (and therefore stressing the servers even more).

I've been playing it for the past week with my classes and we haven't made it past round 3 and my classes are 45 minutes long. My kids absolutely love the game, particularly the K-pop vs E-pop. I did change a couple of faces out though as nobody was getting a couple of them and a couple of the vocabulary ones as well...but didn't touch the rest.

Thank you for the feedback!! I'm curious, which things you changed?? I am thinking of changing Isaac Newton, Princess Diana, and Jane Goodall. As for the vocab, I've never even heard of Rambutan!

Try explorer. I usually use chrome and have gotten that failed error a few times. I tried downloading the same files in explorer and it worked just fine...

I agree. There's a few faces my students weren't getting at all. I'm surprised that they actually knew Jane Goodall.
