Anybody have any ideas for a reading camp? It is just one day, about 4 hours with 1-3rd grade middle schoolers who are above average level.

Hi there!  Do you have an English book store near you??  If so there is a really good book called "Easy True Stories."  It's by Sandra Heyer.  The book has black and white pictures, but it has some good reading, writing, and speaking activities with interesting stories.  Good luck! :)

I have done several book camps over the last 3 years.

The best books I found were the YBM graded readers. You can find them online and choose one that has many stories and have them read the stories and answer questions based upon them or read those stories and then write one of their own.

Teach this to your students... they'll thank you for it later!
