We are seeking an innovative and qualified educator to join the faculty at our leading co-educational international school. You will be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge and a sound understanding of the Common Core State Standards and American school curriculum.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT education from an accredited college or university (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in the US or in an international school setting (years count only after being certified)
• Valid teaching certificate, specifically computer science education
• Knowledge of: subject areas appropriate to assignment (e.g., assessment for learning, UbD, lesson planning, curriculum development, professional learning communities, project-based learning, differentiated instruction, and standards-based grading); effective instructional techniques; effective classroom management skills
• Highly proficient in reading, writing, and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to adapt and remain flexible, good organizational skills, promote and maintain positive attitude and working relationships with students, parents/guardians, staff and administrators, positive contributor to the school community

POSITION DETAILS

- Start date: August 7, 2024
- Course load: 3 courses (Grades 4-12; must be able to teach computer literacy, basic programming, as well as an AP course)
- Work hours: Depends on the course schedule, but within the hours of 8A.M. to 4:30P.M.; approximately 18-20 hours per week
