Hello!
My name is Marissa Stemm and I'm currently living in Nowon, Seoul. Thank you for taking the time to look at my post. I am passionate about teaching English and working with Korean students of all English ability levels. I have lived in and worked as an English teacher on an E2 visa in Korea for over 5 years.
I moved to Korea in early 2012 and have been happily teaching here ever since. Before coming to Korea, I completed 80 hours of TEFL courses in addition to a Young Learners course. This helped prepare me for teaching. However, I think I learned even more in the five plus years of teaching Ive done since then. I have worked with students from kindie to middle school in age, from teaching phonics to guiding student through the challenging world of TOEFL. In addition to teaching provided materials, I have extensive experience making lessons related to speech, debate, and writing in English. I hope to bring these skills to your school and to continue developing my teaching abilities as well.
My current contract ends on September 1st, 2017, but I'm hoping to start work in October 2017, preferably in position generally working from 9AM to 6PM (flexible on exact times).
