English Olympics
« on: January 22, 2018, 02:06:41 PM »
Finally Giving back! I have the one random week of school for graduation and I didn't want to watch more movies. Since the Olympics start that Friday, I decided to do an Olympic lesson. I got the overall idea from Busy Teacher, but gathered all of the information and worksheets myself (from other online sources). This was made for first and second grade high school, but can easily be altered for your student's levels. I am going to the Olympics so I decided to include screenshots of my Olympic tickets in the PowerPoint. Can also be used as a review lesson. My students sit in groups (6) so those will be their teams, but you can break your students up however you see fit. I'm interested to see what you think! I have NOT tried this lesson out yet. There are some tie breakers for some. For Scattegories and Boggle I was just going to do more rounds. And for the spelling B and relay I will use words from their textbook.

I forgot to add this:

The winning team can choose a song to play as their national anthem.

Nice idea for a game. Thank you for the share.

A bit late for Olympic stuff on my end but, I figure now that it's over there may be a bit more interest in using certain athletes and such ;)
