3.1 Vocabulary and Time Bingo PPT

Just print out the last slide - allow the students to draw the clock hands onto their bingo boards prior to beginning the game - they have to listen carefully to the times you say (7 o'clock, 9 o'clock etc). Feel free to make it a bit more exciting by picking random students choose a time.

Pass the ball. Cowboy Game and two versions of the shark and fish reading game. The first is for practising times and the second 'It's 12.10 it's time for....... etc' Thanks to whoever, made the templates.

Lesson 3 Part 1 or 2

Focus: Practice telling time

Lesson Plan: I took one of the PPT's James.Rey7 posted and used it as a base to make my ppt. PPT shows students a clock/time which flies across the screen. Students then have to try to guess what time it was. Originally this activity is meant to be used with mini clocks (we have 10 small clocks for the pairs to use to show us time), but it can definitely be modified so that students simply say the answers out loud or where they can write down the answers on their white board.

What time is it song

Reading race game. I play in teams of 2. They start on opposite ends and read it up as fast as they can. When they meet, they play rock paper scissors. Winner keeps going and loser goes all the way to where they started, switching partners. So when one person loses, their partner takes over for them. They win when they get all the way to the end.

Dance and win - students dance around, read the time, play RPS. Students who love to dance will like this game.

This is the PPT I made for lesson 3 online class. This PPT introduces the the key words key words and expressions, and sounds and letters. It has my voice over with royalty free music from bensounds.com. The clocks clip art are from https://publicdomainvectors.org/.

Native teachers: you can download it and delete my voice and record your voice to put in its place. My voice is on the right speaker on each slide, the music is on the left speaker on the first slide and it plays on a loop through the entire presentation.

Korean English teachers: you are welcome to use this PPT with my voice for your school.

If you want to make this into a video. you can use the export feature to convert it to a mp4, however, that feature is only if you have an Office subscription.
