After-school syllabus help.
« on: April 03, 2018, 07:47:24 AM »
My co-teacher let me know that I need to create a syllabus for my after-school club. I have never made a syllabus before and was hoping somebody could provide some pointers.

TIA

Attached is a file I just submitted to my section head for my afterschool classes. I plan to use a book called Talk Talk to loosely base my lessons off of. I will have just Middle School 1's this semester.

I am also toying with the idea of having students make videos introducing our school, Korean culture and things around the school instead.

The great thing about after school classes is usually you are teaching them alone, so you wont have to stick to the schedule and you can do your own thing.

The big thing about after school is giving students a chance to use English in a manner they wouldn't usually. You can do anything from conversation games to reading activities and anything in between.

Teach this to your students... they'll thank you for it later!
