On PPT:

Slides 1-8: Practicing the key expressions (It's sunny/It's raining/etc)

Slides 9-13: Talk! Talk! section

Slides 14-24: Card game - print enough weather cards so that each student gets one card (slide 24). When the timer starts, each student should find a partner and ask them, "How's the weather?" That student should respond with whatever weather card they currently have (It's snowing). Then the student that answered asks the other the same question and the other student responds with whatever card they have. After both students asked and answered the question, they change cards. Then they go find another person and do the same thing. The timer is set for 30 seconds but that might be too fast depending on the class...usually I have them talk to at least 3 students before revealing the winner. Once the timer is finished, stars will appear and land on a weather picture. The students holding that card will get a point.

I'm not sure how it works though, aren't the bombs supposed to appear after the students have made their selection?
The bombs are already there before I've clicked anything.

Ariadne: Yes the bombs are supposed to appear before hand!! So sorry, I think I uploaded the not animated version. Thanks for letting me know. I fixed it!

Intro vocab with revealing bomb game. You can play with up to 6 teams. (So sorry, I uploaded a version that was not animated but here is the the correct one. To all who downloaded this before, sorry!!) Also for those of you that use hanshow, this won't work correctly with hanshow.

I am transferring to a new place for second semester, and I believe the students will continue to study online next fall, so I made PPTs for each lesson for the rest of the book.

I made a PPT with my voice over for this lesson. I made a similar ones for previous lessons in this book, so I will write the same there that I wrote in previous posts. The music is royalty free music from bensounds.com.

If you would like to use this PPT and record your own voice, from the first slide my voice over is the speaker on the right. You can delete those and then record your voice. On the first slide, the speaker for the music is on the left. It is set to play at the lowest volume on a loop for the entire presentation. If you want to keep the music, don't delete the left speaker on the first slide!

Korean English Teachers: you are welcome to use this PPT with my voice for your school.

If you need to change the PPT to a video, you can use the export feature to to convert it to a mp4, however, it doesn't work with all versions of Office. The version of Office must have a subscription in order to use this feature.

Odd letter out game to practice spelling the key vocabulary. Have the kids pick out the incorrect letter before time is up.

Round 1-3: Find 1 Letter, Round 4-5: Find 2 letters, Round 6: Find 3 letters
