Make sure you enable the macros to play the videos. My ppt version wouldn't play the sound files without the video but maybe yours will so I left them on there.

Focus: Speaking
Lesson Plan:
Here is my folder so far. It includes:
- Intro PPT for Period 1. I took the days slides from another PPT I had for the Weekdays lesson from the other 4th grade lesson in the old book and added the classes vocabulary.
- Nunchi Game for days of the week practice
-Word search activity (credit to original creator)
- Word Shark Hangman for days of the week (credit to original creator)
-Kpop elimination game (may be better to use if your kids are into kpop. If they aren't they may still like it but maybe a different game would work best).
- Intro PPT for period 3 including some practice for sounds and letters
- Kakao Speaking Game

Key expression practice I made for part 2 of the lesson. I borrowed the days of the week part from another ppt. I'm using it to review the days and teach the expressions talking about the after-school class schedule. Plus: Avengers talk about their class schedules.

First class
: Went through the book work. We learned the song first then learned the motions (I just taught them myself, no need for the Korean talking through it) then we did the song with the actions a few times. I didn't feel like playing whatever game they had for it; my kids just liked the chance to move!
I finished the first class with this
memory matching game
. Match English to Korean and write down the words you get. X card means you miss your turn. They can look in their books at the chant picture, or you can write on the board the English and Korean words for each day (I wrote the English and explained how the whole ward could be shortened, then I had my kids volunteer to write the Korean because they love to write on the board)
Second class
: I took gj148's wonderful Kakao speaking game PPT, and shortened it, so the students get the points right away, and there are no links to other pages (the square disappears, and the points are there). This works better for my style of class so I thought I would share in case anyone else wanted a simpler version. The points disappear 2.5 sec. after you click on the picture.
Fourth class
: This happened to land on the 4th of July for me, so I introduced USA's father's day and independence day (Other wise I would just do father's day and then ask about special days in Korea). I compared it to their liberation day and luckily my co-teachers for each class were on the ball and explained it to my kids. One class even cheered when they realised it was that day. Anyway! I just went through the book review and them played a coin flick game. I thought the activity was a little lame for this chapter, so I skipped it.

This is a speaking/listening game I made for period 2.
All students get a grid. There are five different grids, each with a different weekday and after-school class combination.
Randomly select 1 student. The class asks that student What day is it? and the student, according to his or her grid, says Its ** day. I have ** class. All the other students can mark their grid if they have that exact combination of weekday and class. The winner is the student(s) who mark their board the most amount of times.
I tried my best to make it so each grid has an equal chance to win, but anyway I dont think students will complain about the fairness. There are 5 different grids, so for a class of twenty just print out 4 of each grid. Try to make the amount of each different grid as even as possible. You can also use the blank grid if your class is higher level and they can fill in there own combinations, as long as they choose from the same 5 weekdays and 5 classes. That would involve more writing and reading skills.
Hopefully that's a clear enough explanation.

Coin Flick activity..
2 versions..PPT and Word.
Includes Korean pronunciations because my students are low level. Just delete the pronunciations if your students can read and/or delete all the type and just have the pictures.

My co-teacher doesn't really like using the book activities, so for part 1 I had my kids practice the days of the week with the song 7 days in a week (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tx0rvuXIRg
) then we learnt the key expressions and practiced with avengers themed dialogue.
The game was Line Bingo which they loved! We played for 20 minutes, and my students were begging for 'just one more, teacher' by the end of class.
The first round, the students asked "What day is it today?" I would answer "It's ____. We have ____ class" until 10 students had Bingo.
The second round, all students still asked "What day is it today", but I used a random name picker to choose a student to say "We have _____ class". This was their favourite part of the lesson, and even my shy students were excited to choose.
I've attached the Line Bingo instruction ppt if anyone wants to use it. I was given the template (which I have altered) by another teacher, but I'm not sure who the original creator is - credit to them.

These are the PPTs I made for lesson 6 online class. I made similar PPTs for lessons 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, so I will write here what I wrote in previous posts. If all of the PPTs don't fit in this post, I will post the rest PPTs in a different post. This PPT introduces the the key words key words and expressions, and sounds and letters. It has my voice over with royalty free music from bensounds.com.
Native teachers: you can download it and delete my voice and record your voice to put in its place. My voice is on the right speaker on each slide, the music is on the left speaker on the first slide and it plays on a loop through the entire presentation.
Korean English teachers: you are welcome to use this PPT with my voice for your school.
If you want to make this into a video. you can use the export feature to convert it to a mp4, however, that feature is only if you have an Office subscription.

Odd letter out game using key vocabulary. Have the kids pick out the incorrect letter before time is up. The first 3 rounds, kids pick out 1 letter. Kids pick 2 letters the next 2 rounds and finally 3 letters in the last round.
vocabulary: Saturday, Monday, Friday, Tuesday, Sunday, Wednesday (all the days of the week except Thursday)

Review Lessons 1-6
You can play as teams or individuals. I had my students play individually which is why I created a worksheet for them to write their own answers. I gave them 10-15 secs to write the answers and then picked a random number. The student with that number will give the answer and choose the next category.
