I like this lesson because you can play this very fun and easy game:I give each student one small piece of paper. I tell them, "Please draw a dinosaur... DO NOT write your name... and DO NOT show your friends."Every students draws a dinosaur and I collect the drawings. Then I ask them, "Why did we draw a dinosaur? Do you know what we're going to do?" Usually one student has figure it out and will say. If not, that's okay.I give each student one drawing and students circulate the classroom trying to find its owner, like this, "Is this your dinosaur?" ("Yes, it is." / "No, it isn't.")If there's time remaining, we play a second round. This time I tell them to draw a dog or a cat. (If you suggest that they draw any animal, it can take a long time because students will have to think about an animal...)I hope you can enjoy this game. I look forward to it each year.~Adam
