9.2 - New Expressions + SPY game PPT
- "He/She" grammar with practice slides
- Read and Talk slides dice game - in pairs, have one student ask, "What (are/is) (you/he/she) doing?" The other student rolls the dice and answers accordingly. The student who is the first one to roll all six answers is the winner.
- SPY card game

9.4 - Role Play PPT
- goes over the roleplay characters in English
- bigger pictures at the end (I cut them out and attached popsicle sticks to them; during the role play, the students who are assigned that role will hold up the picture)

Whoops, just realized I uploaded the ShowTime PPT for grade 3. Sorry about that, should be fixed now.

I'm also including a slap game I put together real quick plus a monster telepathy game I got from that other teaching site but changed some of the expressions to match the new version of this textbook.

Slap game: Divide the class into two teams, 2 students come up to the front and have their back facing the TV screen with fly swatters. Everyone asks me "What are you doing?" I answer "I'm ____." Both students then turn around & the first person to slap the correct mode of transportation on the TV using the fly swatter gets a point for their team. (Ideal for the first period or second period)

Halloween themed Telepathy game: Instructions included in the PPT, also uploading a worksheet to go along with it if you need it. Hopefully you don't have a bunch of big babies in your class as this game is downright spooky! LOL jk

(Ideal for the third period)

ShowTime Practice: Pretty self explanatory. (Ideal for the fourth period)

I don't have too much to offer for this lesson because I'm borrowing most things. BUT, my co-teacher showed me this video today and the kids LOVED it. It's kind of creepy, but perfect for memorization. I hope it's useful to you!

Walk and talk activity cards

Students walk around classroom and meet friends and and take turns asking the key sentence "What are you doing?" . S's use the cards to respond, then exchange cards so they get a chance to practice all phrases.

I found this game in a thread for the old book and edited a few of the slides to update it for this book instead. I chose not to have eliminations and have every one keep playing regardless, but you can obviously change the rules for your class. My kids loveddd this so thank you so much to the OP!^^

Here is an adapted version of Fortnite themed Last Man standing speaking game which went down really well with my students. Includes basic vocabulary and expressions for the lesson and includes Korean translations of the rules for those who have no co-teacher like myself.
