Kakao Speaking Game
« on: June 17, 2018, 10:01:47 PM »
Based off the Pirates of the Classroom template. This is played the exact same way. Have students choose one  of the options on the left column and one of the options on the top row to make a sentence (ex choosing sister and teacher to make sentence "My sister is a teacher."), then click on corresponding block.

I've used this game twice this week and it's a hit! They love the animations :)

I put emotions/feelings down the side and then other words at the top.

So i got answers like....I'm angry because I have to go to school....I didn't go to school because I was sick.

I put teacher as one of the words and they loved making sentences about how their teacher made them feel angry or sick haha

Thanks again!

This is one of the best PPT's I've ever seen. My students loved it.

Okay so I replied on the wrong Kakao game. Is there a way to randomize the squares for if you play it again? I feel like certain students could remember which squares have which outcome.

I also love this game so much and want to use it again and again. The kids also love it, but the thing is once they know the answers it loses its fun. So I am going to join the chorus saying adding a random result slide generator would be really amazing! But until that happens I guess I could try rejig it myself, although I am totally awful at ppt's.

It's pretty simple to change the point outcomes manually.  Just right-click on the kakao character symbols and select "edit hyperlink" and then just change the slide that it links to.  It may be a tedious, but it's worth it if you want to play it again and you think your students have that good of a memory.

My ppt skills are unfortunately not up to that level. I have no idea how to make it so that outcomes are randomized. When I reuse a game I do what vicarious suggested and manually change the hyperlinks. I also find that if I leave enough time in between, the students don't really remember either. I'm all up for adding a way to randomize the outcomes though if someone here is up for it/can do it :)
