If anyone is stuck for ideas, I have a couple I have used many times.

First, four corners with red, green, blue and yellow flash cards. To determine which colour the students run to, I use a dice that has coloured sides. The other two sides are white (sit down) and pink (die/go to sleep). I've also used this game outside of corners and just got kids touching objects or pictures on the wall matching the colours.

Second is fruit salad, but with primary colours. This is a good way for the younger kids to learn their primary and secondary colours. Each student is assigned a primary colour and one kid is in the middle. When their colour is called, they must change seats and avoid being the middle kid. If a secondary colour is called, lets say 'orange', then yellow and red kids must change seats. For all kids to change seats, I used 'rainbow'. I've even had 5th and 6th grade students enjoy this game during camps ;)

Here are some simple resources for a color lesson. I also incorporated shapes and some simple objects that my kids already know. Good for a quick review or a short listening activity.

1- Shapes Color Review Game -- Play in pairs. Each person has a different colored pencil. The teacher calls out one of the shapes, and the first student to circle that shape can keep it. In the end, the winner has the most shapes circled. In case of a tie, I make my students play rock paper scissors. For this activity, I was practicing "light" and "dark" colors, but you can change the colors of each shape to suit your class's vocabulary.

2- Color Shapes Bingo-- Got this idea from someone else on waygook, sorry I forget who! Directions are in the document. Basically, students color in each shape, then you call out a matching color and shape ("Red heart") If they colored the heart red, they can mark that space, and three or four in a row wins.

3-  Whiteboard Spelling Game -- Give each student or pair/group a white board. They have to write the missing letter(s) (Round 1: one missing letter for one point, Round 2: two missing letters for two points, Round 3: they write the whole word for five points). I gave a bonus point to students who could write the answer before I showed them the hint.
