Cold and Flu Season

It's cold and flu season and I'm always reminding my young ones to wash their hands as often as possible, be moderately active, get plenty of rest, and eat healthy foods high in vitamin C and D. I also remind them not to share anything that comes in contact with their faces such as straws, cups, scarves, and caps.

Unfortunately, at some point everyone feels under the weather and that's when we discuss ways to recover and get better. Getting plenty of rest and drinking lots of fluids is the first step, but sometimes we should seek further help and visit a doctor at the local hospital for a checkup.

I have created some fun vocabulary and number activities for my young students and wanted to share them with others. These are easy to print out and provide a good way to talk about hospitals and doctors with kids. Click on the link above or below to check these out. Enjoy and stay healthy.
