Kakao Friends themed writing/unscrambling game~ This template is so cute so thank you op!!

I made a very very basic worksheet to go with it, just because my students never have paper. I thought I'd attach it just incase it helps anyone!

Trying to teach the pronunciation of the words with a mask is hard work I've found.
I made a short video just to emphasize pronouncing the key words in a hope to
try and help students out. I stuck the video on youtube for anyone to use.

Finished off this unit with a Video Quiz (listening/writing) game - works both as a solo or group game. Can be done on Zoom or offline :)
Estimated game time - 20-25 minutes depending on how many times you play each clip. Score is out of 15 rounds.

Level 1 - students listen to 3 different videos and write the one word which is in all of them (first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, grade, spell)
The videos are done at a normal English speaking speed i.e. very fast for students. Therefore they're presented with the challenge of hearing words they know used in a normal speaking setting. Feel free to play the clips multiple times if your students want it. Click the blue answer button to show the answer (the text is in white but will change to black when  you click the button).

Level 2 (harder) - students listen to the video 3 times and write either the whole sentence or the spelling.

My students enjoyed this as if presented a good challenge for them. Hope others can get some use out of it! Definitely check over the content before using it in your class though ^^

This is a great idea, and can easily be adapted to other lessons or grades, by finding our own favorite video clips and inserting.  Thanks!

Cheers - I've done a couple of other ones for 6th grade Cheonjae which are probably lurking on other threads! Clips are all acquired from https://getyarn.io/ where you can just type in a word or phrase to find relevant materials. :)

“What grade are you in?”

“I’m in the ______ grade.”

Students see pictures of celebrities when younger. They guess what grade they were in when the picture was taken.

Period 4 Story Time
Write and share activity

Sentences are from the textbook story.  Instead of using the bingo grid you could just choose page 14 or 15 and students choose their own sentence to write from the page.  Round is over when someone reads the same sentence as an earlier person.

How to play
1) Students choose one sentence from the 3x3 bingo grid below, and write it down.
2) Teacher chooses a student to read their sentence.  Cross it off the screen.
3) That student chooses another student to read their sentence (not someone sitting next to them) and cross it off the board.
4) The class is the winner if they can make a ‘one line’ bingo without any repetition of the sentences.
5) When a student repeats a sentence that another student has read the round is over.  'GAME OVER'
6) Move to the next grid and students write a new sentence.

I usually play the game without too much explanation - just telling them the next step.  The students don't quite understand what is happening in the first round but for the second and third rounds they understand and have been quite enthusiastic.

It didn't work for me either.
However, I went to the "file" tab (top, far left tab), and clicked the "information" tab (정보), then clicked on "Optimize Media Compatibility". After that the video clip audio worked, no problems.
