I haven't created it yet but I was thinking of giving each student a photo of a different person from each country (Korea, US, UK, Mexico, Australia, Canada, and Vietnam) and then also giving them each a little "passport" with all the countries listed on it. The goal is for everyone to walk around and ask different people "where they're from" and meet someone from each country so they can mark it off on there passport.

5.1.1 Into PPT - Super simple Intro ppt introducing the kids to the new countries using flags and maps.

Passport Activity - give each student a country. They have to go around asking other students "Where are you from?"
You can make it a little more interesting by having them play RPS and only the winner gets to ask.

this is stupid question but how do we download the teachers guide to all the lessons into a PDF file? the person in my position before me downloaded all of the teachers guides for the books to my USB but now since there are new books I cant figure out how to do it?

PDF files of the teachers guide can be downloaded from the CD that comes with it. From the home screen click on "교사용 자료실" then on the next screen scroll to the bottom and in the row listed as "지도서 PDF" you can click on the PDF link for each lesson.

I repurposed a couple old PPTs to make one for this new book as well as a slap game. Be sure to check this post every now & again as I'll be editing it if/when I make more files for the later parts of the lesson.

All Periods Intro: Pretty self explanatory. (Ideal for all periods)

Slap game: Divide the class into two teams, 2 students come up to the front and have their back facing the TV screen with fly swatters. Everyone asks me "Where are you from?" I answer "I'm from ____." Both students then turn around & the first person to slap the correct flag on the TV using the fly swatter gets a point for their team. (Ideal for the first period or second period)

Telepathy game: Instructions included in the PPT, also uploading a worksheet to go along with it if you need it. (Ideal for the third or fifth period)

Yeah just a heads up, for all the lessons in the Cheonjae and Daekyo books, I put a link in the first post to the "matching" or similar lesson (if there is one) in the 2015 books.

Here is a Survey activity.

1. Have students remove the flag cards from the back of their textbooks
2. Collect all of the cards
3. Give each student 1 flag card that will represent the country they are "from"
4. Give each student a survey slip (print double sided to require 8 people are met)
5. Explain that students must stand up, walk around and meet 4 / 8 friends and ask the questions on the survey. They must write both answers in English. spelling of countries is on the back of the cards.
6. The end, enjoy.

Does anyone happen to have a PDF of the entire student textbook or the teacher's handbook? My school gave me neither, just downloaded the interactive e-book onto my classroom computer, and I'm not at that school everyday so I'm unable to work on lessons when I'm away from that computer. Thanks!

I added a cover to the Passport activity template so it can be folded and look like a "real" passport. Cover says
