So I'm still busy with this lesson, but I figured I would add this PPT in case it can help anyone out. The lesson is about understanding others, descriptions, and so on. I was worried it would be a tricky subject to touch on because sometimes people have difficulties describing others in a proper way. So I started my lesson with Vocab and went on to use a Cultural Diversity Special lesson I found on Waygook by SarahKeller I think it was, which deals with skin colour, diversity, beauty standards, and what not to do when meeting new cultures. (https://waygook.org/index.php?topic=107958.0)
I did not change much except I changed her country info to mine, but I left her friends in. I also changed the format to fit my PPT. It has quite a lot of dialogue, but it comes with the Korean text as well. I wasn't too bothered if they didnt get all the English, just as long as they understood the theme.
Feel free to change it as you wish.
Please note that I focused on this before fully starting the textbook lesson, I wanted to make sure we had it out the way first.
Anyway hope it helps.

Does anyone have anything for the " I Hope' part of the lesson? This book honestly seems so disorganized so I don't really know what to even do

Why don't you try giving the students an image with a situation and have them come up with an "I hope..." sentence?
Or reverse it and give them an "I hope.." sentence. Have them either describe a situation where they could use it or draw it on a small whiteboard depending on their level.

I'm planning out a Where's Waldo? type of listening activity for my students. I'll give them a picture of the crowd and tell them, "I hope you can find my friend."  They will have to ask me, "What does he/she look like?" and listen to the description one part at a time.

This is all for the listening day. I'll add more when I come up with my activity/activities for the speaking day.

Hi! Does anyone have an idea on what I can possibly do for the "My Speaking Portfolio" section of lesson 5 that would be fun for the students? Thank you!
