Gwanggyo is a great little (actually, well spread out) town on the east end of suwon. The only 2 things that are expensive there are housing and the subway. In terms of everything else, Gwanggyo isnt too different from most other residential towns in suburban Gyeonggi.Housing is at a premium because there are 2 pretty decent lakes nearby with massive construction projects surrounding them...some of the apartments overlooking the lake cost a cool million dollars or slightly less/more. So you know the kind of people whose children youll be teaching - highly paid upper middle class professionals who want to avoid the choking hustle and bustle of Seoul. Several malls and an unbelievable amount of apartment/officetel buildings have been completed already, and there will be 2-3 big convention centres right by the lake. Also, theres a new administrative office for the Gyeonggi region being built there, which I believe will be the new headquarters for the Gyeonggi government...so once that is completed in the next 3-4yrs, prices will skyrocket.Theres plenty of speculative property investment in the area because of the above...people looking to double or triple their investments within the next 5-10yrs.Theres also the techno valley where several R&D companies/divisions are situated, and CJ entertainment has a massive complex there where they do a lot of god knows what lol. Oh, and suwon World Cup stadium is a short walk away too.The Shinbubdang line starts from this end and is costlier than other lines...around the 2k won mark per journey (crazy right?!)...but everything in the town, including the subway station, streets etc is brand spanking new, shiny and pretty much an impressive sight. And theres still plenty of construction left to do.There OP, youre welcome for the great explanation of the town. Please add an extra 200k to the salary at least.

I can honestly say its a nice, pleasant place to be in. Lots of open space and greenery. Not overpopulated/cramped...for now.
I think it'd be like most new cities in Korea, in that they are newly planned and feel quite open at the moment and not cramped like old town Korea. Although there'd be a mess of traffic lights and people ignoring them. I lived in one, and I kind of miss the big pavements, cycle paths, wide roads, parks and green areas.

I imagine this was how Bundang initially was before it became an overcrowded nightmare.
