English Teaching Job at KIST in China
Korean International School in Tianjin(KIST) is looking for a qualified, confident, cooperative native English teacher.
We need one full-time English teacher for the secondary school.
KIST is located in Tianjin, a metropolis in northern China, around thirty minutes away from Beijing by train.
The city boasts its long history, low prices, public safety, and a variety of tourist attractions.
1. Brief Introduction of KIST
‣ Founded in 2001, KIST is a Korean international school accredited by the Korean Ministry of Education.
We have about 775 students in K-12 and a staff of around 97 teachers, including 22 foreign English and Chinese teachers.

2. Terms of Contract
‣ Contract period: August 1st, 2019 ~ July 31st, 2021
The semester will start from August 19th. You can get 18 days paid vacation in advance.
You can renew your contract if both parties(you and KIST) agree.
‣ Working hours: 8 hours (Monday through Friday), 08:00~16:00
‣ Number of elementary school classes a week (7-18 students in each class)

3. Qualifications & Documents to Submit
‣ Required Qualifications
1) Bachelors Degree
2-1) Holding a passport from one of the 7 English speaking countries
US, UK, CAN, AUS, NZ, IRELAND, South Africa (Must be a native speaker of English)
2-2) Holding a passport from Europe
(At least one year of teaching experience in the 7 English speaking countries)
3) At least two years of teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications
1) Teaching Credentials from your home country
2) ESL certificates(CELTA, TESOL, TEFL, TESL)

6) Proof of employment from previous workplaces (after you get hired)

4. Salary & Welfare
‣ Initial basic salary: 15,140 RMB
‣ Housing allowance: 4,000 - 4,850 RMB(before housing tax) (If your spouse is paid a housing allowance, you are not entitled to it.)
‣ Qualification Incentive: starting from 515 RMB per month
e.g. If you have a Masters degree, a TEFL (over 100 hrs), and a year of teaching experience at a public school, you will have extra 1,545/1,236 RMB per month.
‣ Career Incentive: extra 515 RMB per month for every two years of work completed at KIST.
‣ Paid airfare for your first flight (from your home country or the country you currently reside under employment at the time of hiring) and your return flight (to your home country at the end of your two-year contract or longer)
‣ Paid Summer and Winter Vacation
2019 summer vacation: July 12~Aug.18
2020 winter vacation: Jan.9~Feb.25 2019
A new school year starts on the 1st day of March.
The first and last days of each vacation vary every year.
‣ Medical Insurance
‣ Option of doing after-school classes for extra income
‣ Daily lunch provided in the school cafeteria.
‣ The Employee shall be paid a yearly bonus named 1 Year Completion bonus,
which is equivalent to 50% of basic salary, after he/she finishes working one year.
‣ The Employee shall be paid a yearly bonus named Performance bonus, which is
equivalent to 40% ~ 60% of basic salary, based on the evaluations of the performance conducted in the previous year.
5. Procedure
