Employment Type: Freelance (telecommuting)

Job Details: You will develop sets of IELTS practice questions – from passage to questions. Each set will require rephrasing of 300-word short passages (the passages will be provided, do not worry) and developing 5 questions for each rephrased passage. (examples of question types will be provided as well as desired question types per instance)
NOTE: minimum of 200 questions per month is a requirement, along with the paraphrasing of 40 passages

Working hours: Approximately 8 hours per day (compensations will be made per developed item; see below for details)

Monthly Compensation: minimum 1.2 million KRW and over. (gross income; 3.3% income tax excluded) Payments will be made on every 25th.

Compensation details: 30k KRW per 5-problem set (along with short passage reproduction)
NOTE: A minimum of 40 sets must be produced monthly. (therefore 30k*40 = 1.2mil) Additional compensations will be provided for each extra set created.

Start Date: Early August



WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

You will develop IELTS reading passages by refining and rewording texts from many sources ranging from academic papers to everyday material like advertisement flyers. With the passages you have created, you will develop questions of various types that successfully resembles official test material so that the students who study with the created material will have a better sense of what the test will be like and develop problem-solving skills.



WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Fluency in written and spoken English is required. This means that also non-native English users can also apply, assuming that he or she is a fluent user of English, with a deep understanding of the language.
Although not a necessary requirement, candidates with a background of higher education in English or education and/or possess qualifications such as TESOL related are preferred. Additionally, candidates with ESL, EFL teaching experience with understanding and/or teaching experience of English proficiency tests such as IELTS, TOEFL are strongly preferred.

If requested, applicants are required to provide additional information regarding their qualifications (e.g. transcript, course curriculum, evidence of external validation, accreditation by a certification standards board etc.). Any expenses related to verifying qualifications are to be paid by the applicant. You will be required to produce the original certificates for all qualifications.

It's a bit unclear. they pay 30k for one set but say you have to work 8 hours a day. If one set took an hour it wouldn't be too bad.  If 40 sets takes 160 hours that's 7500 an hour, which is obviously sh-t.

I had a quick chat w/ the op and it’s not supposed to take 8hours unless you wanna do more sets, feel free and go bonkers.
But 2 sets should take around 3-4 hours (2 sets = 60,000/4 = 15,000)
And probably less time if you really crack down and get used to doing these again and again.

So honestly...not toooooo bad for someone who wants to make more $$ on the side in the comforts of their home and can crank out a few sets during the weekend...

Also not that this matters, but i looked at the website and saw the company is in collaboration w/ King’s Academy. My TESOL teacher used to teach at King’s and had nothing but great things to say (also my teacher was just as equally amazing! Which may sound weird b/c it’s just a tesol class but it wasn’t!! Lolol) so not that i know anything about the company that’s here in korea, but it seems pretty legit!
