Here is a fun 'Dice Game' to practice adverbs of frequency. Students are asked a question and then must roll the dice to make a funny answer. It's a lot of fun.

Here's a Four Corners game.

Designate four corners of the classroom A, B, C, and D.

Students stand up. Each round, students are asked a question from the book like, "How often do you brush your teeth?", and see four possible responses on the PowerPoint: A, B, C, and D. Students choose a response by moving to the designated corner of the classroom. (You can mark each corner with a simple sign). The teacher advances the slide, eliminating three of the four options, one at a time. Each round, students who choose the correct option earn one point. (You can have students keep track of their own points, or put a sticker on their hand.)

The student or students with the most points at the end of the game wins. This PowerPoint has two rounds, so you can play twice!

Enjoy!

I can't see if the Four Corners game is attached. I can figure out the issue later, but if you are able to download it and you like it, please leave a reply here so i know it's working, and I'll upload more games later. Thanks!

Here is an intro I tweaked a little that I found elsewhere.

Also, a "pass the die" game; really, it's just the idea from the youtube video above put into a PPT. I put the PPT on google drive as it is too large for this site.

The normal intro PPT from me plus a bunny grid game I downloaded from a previous book & repurposed for this one as well as a reading coin flick game. Be sure to check this post every now & again as I'll be editing it if/when I make more files for the later parts of the lesson.

All Periods Intro: Pretty self explanatory. (Ideal for all periods)

Happy Bunny Game: Grid based speaking game, instructions included in the PPT. (Ideal for the first or second period)

Harry Potter Game: Another grid based speaking game, I used this one for my travel school that only has 5 students in the class and it wasn't feasible to play the team based bunny game with them. You'll have to search and download the Harry Potter font otherwise everything will look all messed up. (Ideal for the first or second period)

Coin Flick Game: Ss play in pairs. Place a coin (or an eraser) on the start line and give it a flick, read the sentence or phrase wherever it lands on to claim the square. Whoever claims the most squares in the end wins. (Ideal for the fourth period)

An intro lesson plan using the youtube video idea in a power point format. They had a great time with these. Takes about 20 minutes too.

Some stuff I'll be doing next week. Assume that these materials inspired by/come from other people or are modified versions of other people's work.

Pictionary is good for speaking or for later periods as a review
touch and go is for reading
unscramble is good for writing/ review of expressions (I'm using it for 5th period)

Hope this helps
also, sorry if there are any errors.

Blargh the bunny game I uploaded earlier had several broken links in it so I've fixed them up and the game should be working fine now. I've labeled the new file "remastered" so if you downloaded the old broken version make sure to replace it with the new one.

Hey all,

Attached is a Habit Survey that I am going to have my students do.

I'll put them in groups of 4 and have them come up with some creative sentences. Then as a class each team chooses 4 sentences (each sentence different). Then each member from each group will survey 15 classmates about one of their group's questions.

The second class I am going to have them make graphs about their results and present.

Just an idea of how to mix up the classes. Enjoy!  ;D

G6L7P3 Unscramble kakao friends writing game

I took the Unscramble game posted above (thanks to OP ^^ ) and edited it to be more fun / engaging for students:

1.  Added many kakao friends pics
2. Random points from 0~10; on each slide, S's choose one kakao friend.  Random points awarded if the S answer is correct based on which K friend they chose.
3. Scrambled sentences are hidden behind the answers on slides when not in slideshow.  answers appear on click when playing.
4.  Can play in teams, pair, or individual

I am transferring to a new place for second semester, and I believe the students will continue to study online next fall, so I made PPTs for each lesson for the rest of the book.

I made two PPTs with my voice over for this lesson. I made a similar ones for previous lessons in this book, so I will write the same there that I wrote in previous posts. The PPTs are from the book's website (I think my coteacher downloaded them off of the company's website last year) and I recorded my voice over the slides. The music is royalty free music from  bensounds.com.

If you would like to use this PPT and record your own voice, from the first slide my voice over is the speaker on the right. You can delete those and then record your voice. On the first slide, the speaker for the music is on the left. It is set to play at the lowest volume on a loop for the entire presentation. If you want to keep the music, don't delete the left speaker on the first slide!

Korean English Teachers: you are welcome to use this PPT with my voice for your school.

If you need to change the PPT to a video, you can use the export feature to to convert it to a mp4, however, it doesn't work with all versions of Office. The version of Office must have a subscription in order to use this feature.

Here is a quiz I made for the students to do at the end of this unit - it's a listening based exercise.
Instructions for students are provided in Korean for part 1 and part 2 on the PPT.

In part 1 the students watch a video clip (please show this 2 or 3 times). They are then provided with three Korean sentences and have to choose which they think is a translation of the video based on what they heard. The answer will highlight when you click, and English translations will be provided thereafter.

In part 2 the students watch 3 different clips (please show multiple times as necessary) and write the phrase they think is the same between all of the clips. The students should write their answer down, and then the answer will be shown when the teacher clicks the answer button. The answers are on the PPT as white text and change in colour to become visible when you click the button, so you dont need to worry about students seeing the answers prematurely.
(answers are a mix of frequencies i.e. once a week, three times a day, and habits like 'brush your teeth' and 'work out')

Totally my pleasure. My kids enjoyed it because even though the clips were using 'real life English' (at a normal speed and with a variety of accents/intonations), they could still understand what was being said.  It's exciting when things you learn can be put into real practice.

For the record the video clips were all sourced from here: https://getyarn.io/

This is a Pokémon speaking game, similar to the popular pirates of the classroom game. Thank you to the template maker~
