Simple Halloween Game made by me! (Like the pirate game).
 Also, a fill in the blanks look and say with a wordsearch.
Good for low levels.

I took the idea from HeyIsoken's Reading Relay for the 2015 Cheonjae book to create this version.

This is a timed reading relay with 3 different activities: Simple reading, vocab word unscramble, and vocab word spelling. For my classes (which aren't very high-level), a time limit of 4 minutes was perfect. We added an extra competitive element by letting the classes know how many slides the other classes got through and see if they could beat their score. 2/4 classes were able to complete the full game within the time limit.

Game is compliant for corona restrictions - they play at their individual desks and just stand up at their desk to read when it is their turn.

The vocab words are:

• move
• because
• why
• city
• cheer
• upset

On the spelling slides, you can click to get the vocab word to come up. I'm planning on showing this after they spell the word. Bottom right corner of the orange box has a number telling you which vocab word it is. They are numbered in the order listed above. I plan to write the vocab words on the whiteboard for my kids and tell them which one they need to spell. I want them to find the word on the list and spell it aloud. Obviously some kids won't need the list but I know some will so this makes it fair. Hopefully that makes sense. If not, you can just delete the animation and just have your kids spell the word on the slide.

I made it into a teams game and added some stipulations to make everyone have to play. I don't know about the OP's students but in my classes if I left it up to them to participate at random, it would be the same 3 kids the whole game. So instead I broke the class into the standard 5 teams (a team is a row of desks in our classroom) and the team self-selects the students to play each round. Different students have to participate from one round to the next so nobody can opt out of the game.

Full instructions are in the PPT and a few easy example slides to go over the slide layout and different activities.

EDIT: Per comment below I reuploaded this as I made a mistake in numbering the vocab words in the original version. I also changed the time limit based on what worked for my class (originally was set to 5 minutes).
