Looking for new position, early 2020, adults
« on: October 21, 2019, 09:59:21 am »
Hi,

I am looking for a new position starting early next year. I was asked recently whether I would like to re-sign in my current post, and I decided not to stay. I will be free from the last week of February 2020.

The job is actually OK, but many of the students want to eventually teach kindergarten or elementary school, and I personally have no interest in these student levels. I am therefore inviting prospective recruitment enquiries for new  positions starting next February/March/April.

My preference is for teaching adults. I have been working this year as a TESOL teacher trainer of adult students.

I am:

* A mature UK graduate with 16 years of experience teaching in South Korea.

* Currently resident in Daegu, but happy to relocate.

I am looking for:

* A position teaching adults (only).

* Ideally around the Gyeongnam/Busan/Daegu area, but I am open to other locations.

* Conversational/Business English. I am not experienced in teaching English Literature.

* Current basic salary is ₩2,500,000 per month plus substantial assistance with accommodation costs.

I have:

* A current E2 visa (expiry date 2024.04.08).

* Experience of teaching in a wide variety of environments and different cities in Korea.

* Experience of teaching days and split shifts.

This advertisement is being placed early because of the need for a long lead-in for the types of positions that I am seeking.

If you have (or know of) an adult teaching position from the final week of February/beginning of March 2020, I would be interested to hear from you. You are welcome to contact me through this web site in the first instance.

i think he means in his old job, which he left, the students were aiming to become teachers, but only for kindy and elementary. therefore, they didn't need to know complex grammar, and were more interesting learning just the basics in english (instead of having high-level debates, etc)? actually, i dunno either.

It means that many of the students want to teach kindy or elementary after they graduate from the course. I'm not really interested in those age groups, so I decided it was better to take on a contract elsewhere when this one ends, and someone with more interest can take over.

Ah, sorry, I missed the bit about teacher training. So you don't want to do teacher training any more, you want to just teach adults EFL?
