Finland gets similar exam results to South Korea and Singapore, but the country isn't run by helicopter mothers and they don't set up camp inside the school.

Yes, but I'm led to believe that that's more down to them not constantly shooting nor stabbing each other while being mismanaged by incompetent teachers like in the US., judging from some of the comments on this forum. But then again, those gnarly deer-milking lactose Sami boys probably wouldn't know how to handle a gun, anyhow...let alone shoot a deer with it.

Brb. Got to close the windows cos the deafening noise of the birds outside the classroom window is distracting my students... If only I were more of a true, hardy manly Alpha man, then I could scare these noisy little brats into submission. Insufferable little creatures, these blackbirds, aren't they?

I read an interesting article debunking the Finland myth, basically stating that the teenage suicide rates in Finland are higher than SK's so the author argued that you cannot discredit SK's cramming culture while promoting Finland's based on the teenage suicide rates. In that case, New Zealand would have had the best schools in the world.
