Recruiters you'd recommend?

I'm interested in changing jobs in March. Ideally I'd like to move into a university position but elementary school would be good too. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good recruiter? Thanks.

I, personally, had a really bad time with Korvia.
But HandS Korea were good when I used them. And Quality teaching in Korea (if interested in Jeollanamdo) was really good too.

I recommend HandS too.  They will work with you no matter the situation.  Look them up on facebook.

Korvia was okay, but they constantly have people leaving the company. So, in the middle of your application and document submission you might get an email from your original recruiter that was assigned to you saying they're leaving for family reasons (i.e: a better job) like I did. But they come meet you at the airport and bring you a goodie bag and you can sign up for a bank account at KEBHana then and there with them. But that's only useful if you're coming from your home country.

They do have a job board of private hires for people already here.

Personally, I would not recommend any recruiting agency.  However, if one chooses to utilize one, I would recommend the one that gets you the job you want, where you want, and does not try to bully you into taking some other crap job because the one you applied for "was filled" at the last minute (despite being posted 3 hours earlier).  If you have a recruiter that will check back with you from time to time, facilitate communication and does not deflect from taking responsibility for placing you in a crap-bag school, that would be a start...

Korean Horizons are very good for public school positions, especially if you're looking at Gyeongsangnam. Very helpful, honest people who genuinely want you to succeed. Not sure about a university recruiter though, sorry!

They want you to pass the interview so they can get the placement money (and to a lesser extent so you'll write a good review online to get them more applicants).  That's business. 

Not nice people in my experience.  But then again I'm not a young female, so I'm a less desirable candidate. Your experience was different I'm sure. Red carpet treatment and all.
