Hello,

My name is Ryan. I am interested in positions near Seoul with 20 hours per week or less and competitive compensation to begin as soon as possible this year. I study Korean in my spare time so I prefer a job with flexibility and time to self-study.

I am a U.S. citizen, native English speaker, and hold a masters degree in architecture from North Carolina State University having graduated honors in 2017.  I have a TEFL certificate and a previous year of Korea teaching experience in grades K-9 in Gangnam as I helped a school fill a vacancy in 2018.  I also have experience teaching Chinese students online. While in Korea I also received experience working with Korean design firms on the D-10 visa. I am currently visiting family in the US but I am available to Skype at any time.

In addition to my teaching experience I also have journalism experience in the US as well as professional architecture experience. I received a North Carolina Press Association Editorial Award in 2013 for my reporting contributions for a community print publication.

I can provide recommendations upon request. Since I have taught in Seoul previously, all of my documents have been pre-arranged.

Thank you,

Ryan

the job i had with JLS was, without a doubt, the single worst job i've had in my entire life. washing dishes, manual labour, stabbing myself in the eye - all more enjoyable

I thought that was the after school job. Or are you talking about the same one?

Yeah it was with JLS

I've worked in two different JLS academies with different managers and they were like day and night.
The first one I worked at made me a stronger teacher.
The one I currently work at in Yangju is really nice compared to that.
