The Lunar New Year is a holiday observed around the world celebrating the first new moon and the beginning of the year based on the traditional Chinese calendar. Bright red and gold lanterns are one of the most popular decorations to mark this festive holiday and can be seen hanging from every temple and home.

I've made a fun set of letters based on these traditional lanterns that I have been using to decorate my classroom and wanted to share them.
