13 tons of Uighur Muslim hair seized by authorities in the US. They're using people as slave labor and selling their hair.

Evil and morality has never existed in the CCPs eyes, they'll stop at nothing to get what they want. I do believe this ideology will be their own downfall.

I hope you're right. But knowing life, their wickedness will go largely unpunished. Not even the clusterfuck that is covid-19 is enough to instigate adequate international pressure. Why? Because the West is now run by a bunch of emasculated, politically correct pussies.

China will keep f**king minority groups/animals/hong kong well into the future.

Careful brother, thats dangerously close to 'real men' talk.
Haven't you got some pictures of birds to be jacking off to, son?

Nope. Say what you will about Trump, but the man's got the kind of balls we need right now. Big steely orange ones.

yes the US is making a fuss about HK (but not the Uighurs). lots of western countries are upset about HK. i think it has more to do with money than with the legislators' respective gonads

True, the political world is complex, treacherous and not for people of strong convictions or morals.

- Politicians want to get re-elected in 4-5yrs, so they're going to focus on giving the public short term results. What's the point of
a politician investing his/her efforts into meaningful long-term solutions when he/she will no longer be in office to receive praise?

- China is incredibly strong and influential.

- I'm not quite sold on Trump. He's a populist and seems to be taking strong stance on China for the same reasons he took a strong stance against immigrants during his election campaign. He uses a strong armed approach against China, which could be good or bad, but he's frankly the worst person for the job as he's just so divisive. A leader, who can unify the US and stand against China is what we need.

I'm optimistic that the CCP will destroy itself. The nature of a a bunch of treacherous, immoral sycophants is to betray themselves. Xi is overplaying his hand too, he's being way too aggressive and other countries are starting to turn their backs on him (albeit cautiously, for now). China's political model just isn't sustainable.

Yes, it was incredibly manly of him to say privately, "Waaah, Xi, I'm losing the election.  Please please buy some farm products from America, Waaaah!"

Imagine having the police video call you for criticizing the CCP, while abroad. In the video call, the officer is sitting with your family , in China, and threatens to harm them if you don't regurgitate the party narrative. It's difficult to comprehend this level of cowardice.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Territorial_disputes_in_the_South_China_Sea

China's expansion into legally designated international waters is going to cause a conflict at some point. The USA has 2 aircraft carrier groups nearby right now. Have you ever seen an aircraft carrier? Most have bigger air forces on them than most countries. An aircraft carrier group is a terrifying sight if they are angry at you, and no other country on earth has anything to come close.

There's going to be a problem here and it is all China's fault due to illegal claiming of international waters.

Look at this map. Not only is China going beyond their 200 nm limit, they are encroaching well into sovereign territorial waters of other nations.

Anyone else feel like punching this guy in the mouth?

What amazes me is that, despite killing literally hundreds of thousands of people with their barbaric and unsanitary eating practices, they still have the audacity to pull shit like this on foreign soil. They genuinely have no shame.

I know Australians are open-minded and easygoing people, but I'd kick these clowns the f*** out of my country if I was them.

That video wanted to make me sick. Those students should be deported immediately. The University of Queensland is an absolute disgrace to the good people of Australia and there needs to be an in-depth investigation into its links with the CCP. Absolutely disgusting.

Hope the people of Australia stand up for this guy and get UQ sorted out.

I knew Chinese exchange students who claimed the Tienanmen Square massacre never happened and the tank-man was photoshopped, all to make China look bad.

I watched it on TV and read the book by the journalist who watched it from his hotel window.

When I taught in China I met a very very very few truly open-minded Western thinking Chinese. All had smart phones and knew how to "get over the wall" as they were wont to say. They'd never heard of it, but believed it was possible.

Many nations have ridden the crest of the wave. Some for a long time. The USA has been riding it for about 100 years, but their wave is collapsing. China will be next. It's going to take a while, they need a navy. They need aircraft carrier battle groups. That rusted hulk they have now is a waste, but it is a start.

I believe when China starts to be a true equivalent super-power to the USA, and starts to supplant them, they may change their economic philosophy because democracies are richer. That's a fact.

Brutal communism and total suppression of dissent will get you to the top, but when the people know all that is going on around the world and like you the most, you'll stay at the top.

But what do I know. I'm just a grey haired old Boomer ;-)

It's starting to happen, Australia seems to have had it with China. Australia has been a kind of testing ground for Chinese influence and soft-power over recent years and I think they've pushed Australia as far as they could.
