I was recently asked to teach conversation classes.
As not many students were turning up - we only had an average of one student turn up, I thought I'd get some advice on teaching conversation classes.
Can anyone recommend useful links or resources for topics, games and ideas for conversation classes.
These classes are for elementary 5th Grade students. I may get 4th Grade students joining next week.
They asked me to stop teaching them as the turnout of the students was low. Today I was told it's not specifically a conversation class but more like an after school English Club. So I am free to teach anything really like a song (which I don't normally do) - or anything else.
The best thing I can think of - and which will be easier is to expand on what they are learning in their normal school morning classes.
The English club class can of only be effective if the students show up.
