Hi guys,

My name is Kayla. I am conducting a survey for my thesis and desperately seeking as many NESTs as I can. It would be greatly appreciated if you could spend your time filling out the survey for me. I would like to offer a small thank you gift to each participant who can help me. The participants must be Native English speaking teachers who are currently teaching in Korea OR have experienced in teaching in Korea.

To brifely explain, the purpose of the research is to investigate NESTs' attitudes/perceptions towards Korean culture. There are 57 questions and it would take about 5-10 mins.

Thank you for your time to read this message, and it would be very much appreciated.
Thank you so much and have a great day!

p.s I want to reply to each of you but I am new here and have no idea how to reply. I just want to say that I’m so grateful for your help and taking time to answer all my questions. And about the project details, I wish I could tell you more but my project is still in the process and I cannot reveal too much information about it. Thank you.

Completed. What's your hypothesis? That people who are more interested in Korean culture think they're better teachers?

I feel the last questions, in particular, are going to be pretty misleading.

Many teachers feel they're unable to teach a certain way or perform certain tasks because of the nature of the education system, not necessarily because they lack the skill. For example, I know which strategies would be best to improve my student's English and how to use these strategies, but the student's levels are completely mixed (poor education system), my co-workers lack the English proficiency to support my teaching approaches, the curriculum won't allow me to use these strategies and I only see each class once a week.
