Since there appears to be a bit of an uproar over conspiracy theories on waygook.org, (4 people in one of the Trump threads constituting an 'uproar' as defined in Article 247, Paragraph 8 of the Waygook.org bylaws, as well as the Sheffield Provision of 1425), it is hereby determined that the issue of Modding and Mod policy now in dispute between Kyndo (ne'er doer by decree of the King) and Mayor Haggar (The Right Honorable) should be put to popular vote and referendum amongst the general public.

Mayor Haggar charges that Kyndo has been derelict in his duties in failing to delete conspiracy theories, most urgently in regards to COVID-issues. He may also have additional grievances. Kyndo for his part has shamelessly denied being slothful and negligent, contrary to his reputation.

Therefore we have two questions- Who should serve as Mod? Mayor Haggar, gentleman and scholar by reputation, or the lowborn Kyndo? Secondly, whose policy do you support? Should the current laissez-faire (some would say indolent) policy of Kyndo 'Remain' or should we 'Leave' that behind and have much stricter standards?

Now is your chance, people of Waygook.org, to turn out any tyrants which dominate you here and endanger us all. Vote and vote well.

This is non-binding, but even so, we can show our support for the fair and just Mayor Haggar against the wicked despot Kyndo.

Haggar strikes me as a Hitler type character, Kyndo is a bit more Christlike. I'd go for Kyndo.
Does your wife submit to you?

Well I sure as shit don't want to be a mod. Kyndo is the only cool mod here, he actually talks with us and hangs out and is cool. And when someone says something really vile and/or racist he usually removes it and punishes the offender.

I just don't get why you'd correctly remove hate speech that only hurts feelings, but refuse to remove conspiracy theories that have repeatedly led directly to death due to a public health issue. Coronavirus isn't a joke or a matter of opinion.

Does anyone actually opinions on this site with which to form their opinions or judgments on?  Leave the status quo and if a post gets too heated, lock it.  That is the current policy.  So long as people don't personally attack each other, move on.

Do your damn job! This kind of "conservative" drone bullshit is getting people killed!

"Coronavirus isn't as bad as the flu" is a completely false conspiracy theory, and it's getting people killed. And kyndo and Martin don't care. Great job guys.

Millions of people around the world are dead because gatekeepers like you throw up your hands and allow conservative conspiracy theorists to spread lies. You let them treat deadly lies as "just a difference of opinion." Facts are not opinion.

You don't see a problem with letting trolls spread conspiracy theories that encourage death?

This isn't "just politics." This isn't "just some trolls trying to stir things up." This is a matter of public health. There are actually people out there who think coronavirus is "just the flu" or that "the flu is worse." And the way to deal with this is to nip it in the bud. Once people know they can spread lies and misinformation without consequence, they'll never stop.

I'm pretty disappointed in MayorHaggar. A few days ago he was talking like this was an issue of life and death and people had to take action. Now that he's been asked to take action and do something to help those millions he seems to be changing his tune and is sympathizing with the current regime. I thought he'd be the direct leader we need here. After all he seems to have all the answers and isn't shy about expressing them in direct terms. I think if you go on like that, you should be prepared to back it up and you certainly shouldn't do a 180 when called out.

Some can, some won't.  Some think, some don't.

The legends are true not only about Dave's ESL Cafe but about this particular site as well....a handful of folks that have an idea of what they are talking about.  Hangook, being one. Mr. D (whom I still think should be a moderator, after reading some of his posts) is another. I recall a few other sensible posts but cannot think of the posters, as this time.

The rest...minions.  But when in Rome...

Thanks.

And let me add to your red pic posting...

More wise liberal slogans:

"" Get rid of corporal punishment and other discipline in the schools.
Then when children act up as children are doing what they naturally do, say they have behavioral issues and other problems.  Put them on Prozac and other drugs to tame their behavior instead.  A trip to the principal's office, some time in detention,  or a spanking is no longer needed.  Just drug them up instead.  It's more "compassionate".  Big Pharma and fake ideological shrinks know what's best for children's welfare including their use of gender confusion identity.  ""

That's a Marxist ideological quote you can take to the bank.

(For the record I am glad I got the spanking as a kid rather than the drugs.)
