Anyone ever do online classes here?
« on: December 21, 2020, 02:43:51 pm »
Anyone ever do online classes here?  (I mean while here but from a company based in your home country and paying into your home country's bank account?  Not violating Korean E2 laws, I think.)  A little extra cash.  Not sure it would work though.

I can't see how this would not violate laws. On the other hand, you would never be caught doing so and plenty of people do it.

I would wonder about that if you were doing it for another country's kids and the money was deposited into your home country's bank account?  Would that count?  I am not saying I am doing this.  I am just curious about it.

You are performing the work while residing in Korea on a long term visa. This most likely violates law regarding workplaces and your visa. There are also questions regarding tax law.

While technically illegal, possibly, it’s not going to register with the korean authorities. I’m not saying you should do it, but with the shit wages here it’s hard not to take little side jobs. everyone needs to eat

I agree. You would never run into any problems doing it.
