Afterschool classes with 3rd&4th garde
« on: February 25, 2021, 09:06:41 am »
Hello everyone,

I'm in need of some advice, can you guys help me.
This semester I have 3rd&4th graders afterschool lessons twice a week which make up a total of 1hr/40mins (50mins each) I was thinking I could do more forward thinking teaching this year.
When I had them last year I realized that they are super activity and they rarely pay attention or show any interest in our alone lessons, I then started to notice that they get super excited with tech and YouTube stuff, would it be a bad idea to have them make their own YouTube videos and maybe edit and post them on their channels?
Yes, they have YT channels already (haha). Of course I'd help them and encourage them to mostly use English, I have a felling they'd be into it and be more excited about learning English?
Do we think "hell no! too chaotic" or "yes may be helpful getting them to be more open to learning with you" ?

I  think that sounds like a great idea. go for it. if it doesn't work, change plans.

You might need/want to get a permission slip from their parents for this project. It's a cool idea but some parents might be questionable about their kids posting their faces online (unless this would just be content they create without their faces in which case that would probably be fine).
