Does anyone know about Korean debt collections?Like, let's say my husband has a lot of debt and I am still married to him, but the debt was taken out before marriage, if banks could come after my money and accounts?
Korea doesn't allow joint bank accounts so they are not going to raid yours. Anyway safe in the assumption that you are a foreign scumbag they'd never connect the 2 of you anyway.
Isn't that one of the reasons why people kill themselves here? That their debt (in their name) can't be taken on by other family members?
would hope so in this instance......my name is connected to him though cause I cant even go change my address without him coming with me.....because they wont allow my address to be different than his and when he changed his address to his mom's even though we don't live there...they just changed mine too.....now he wants to send his salary to my accounts cause his are frozen .....it's comical at this point
It's been awhile, but last I heard from you on here hadn't you come to your senses and left this man/child and gone and got your own place? By the way, in case I missed where you two reconciled, all the best!
good point, but I don't know because legally debt is also inherited under Korean inheritance law....
