1. Criticizing Korea and pining to go home has been a constant in the ESL community since at least my first year in 2002.
2. It's harder than ever to go home now. For example, the need to COVID19 test three days prior to departure to Canada, again tested immediately upon arrival and mandatory 3-day gov't-specified not-cheap hotel stay awaiting test results (all costs borne by the individual, gov't estimated at $2000) followed by mandatory 14-day quarantine at one's own home (if you have one or family) or a hotel, not at a room-for-rent one-month rental nor with chance to go apartment hunting.
3. Hang out less with whiners and/or change the topic of conversation.
