Good for review but can be adapted in so many ways. My 5th graders tend to prefer this to review games like jeopardy or bomb games.
Draw a grid of dots on the board. I use 4x4 for 24 students and it works well. Divide the class into 2 teams (could use more if necessary). Teams RPS to see who goes first. Someone on that team raises their hand to answer the question (a new student every time, teammates can help). If they get it wrong, they pass and the next team goes. If they get it right, they get to come up and draw one line on the board. The next team goes, etc. The goal is to make a 1x1 box. The team that draws the last side of the box gets the point, so they have to be careful where they draw the lines to keep the other team from completing a box. Write the team name/number in the box to remember who gets the point. Sounds kinda complicated but the kids got it easily. There are videos out there explaining this old school pen and paper game more in depth if necessary.
Hope it helps someone!
