Any particular reason you opted for the MA TESOL over a PGCE?

Teaching literature at an international school > Teaching ESL anywhere, in my opinion

Russell Group University?

I asked a few Universities for advice and they suggested the MA TESOL instead of a PGCE. Mainly as I don't want to teach in the UK and I was told a PGCE would mean teaching in the UK for a year or more whilst studying. I also have a friend who had an extremely bad experience with the PGCE.

I didn't think teaching Literature at an international school would be an option without a PGCE?

Thanks for the advice.
